of New Zealand (AFLANZ) has re-established a presence on the internet.

Courts Martial
Panel of Counsel - New Appointments:
A number of new members have been appointed to the Court's Martial Panel of
Counsel. The members of the panel are appointed as prosecutors of Court's
Martial. They may also be appointed as defence counsel under the NZDF
legal aid scheme. For more details:

Lt Colonel Justin Emerson, NZALS, was made a Member of
the New Zealand Order of Merit in the Queen's Birthday Honours List in

Military law book
launched - 2001
A new military law publication will fill a
gap in the market, says its editor, Centre for Defence
Studies teaching fellow and navy legal officer Lieutenant
Commander Chris Griggs.
The New Zealand Armed Forces Law Review is an annual
publication, the first of its kind to be produced in the
Southern Hemisphere. Lt Cmdr Griggs says it will be of value
to those interested in military and international law.
