One of the principal objects of the Society is to promote research and study of the legal issues affecting New Zealand’s armed forces by members of AFLANZ and other interested parties. To this end, the Society publishes an annual law review, which publishes high quality contributions from members and other contributors. The New Zealand Armed Forces Law Review is an internationally refereed publication. The editorial board seeks short notes and case commentaries, as well as longer in depth articles. Articles on current topics on military law (both New Zealand and comparative), and international and operations law are welcomed. We have been fortunate in attracting contributions dealing with subjects as diverse as:
Contributions from students have featured since the first volume, and are eagerly sought. Submissions should be provided in English, using MS Word compatible word processing software. They should be delivered by email to the editor, Dr Chris Gallavin, University of Canterbury. Contributions must be original unpublished works and submission of contributions will be held to imply this. Manuscripts must be word processed and in compliance with the Australian Guide to Legal Citation (available online here) |
